Introducing Philippa Hanna

Acclaimed British singer-songwriter, Philippa Hanna, will be performing live at the opening night of Ablaze18 Wolverhampton as part of her UK tour! Philippa is a leading light in the Christian and Gospel scene across Europe, performing live over one thousand times across 25 countries in the last 10 years.

Born in Barnsley, Philippa has opened tours for superstar music artists Lionel Richie, Little Mix, Leona Lewis and Anastacia. Since her first public performance in 2007, Philippa has released five albums.

Her music has received on-going support from the BBC – including Songs of Praise, BBC Introducing, BBC Radio 2, and the Philippa Hanna brand is becoming widely recognised on the international scene.

Philippa’s Musical Roots

Philippa comes from a musical family and has successfully followed in the footsteps of cousins Richard & Danny McNamara of UK band, Embrace and brother, Stuart Zender – bass guitarist for Jamiroquai.

Philippa’s music is inspired by her experiences of a turbulent youth and the Christian faith she discovered in 2004. Her songs champion self-esteem in young people, and at the same time, raise awareness for the work of children’s charity Compassion UK for which she’s recruited over 1,000 sponsors at live events.

Here’s a taste of Philippa’s music from the album Come Back Fighting.
